  • Casey County Alumni Association inducts Rousey, Norfleet families

    This summer, the Casey County Alumni Association (CCAA) was happy to induct two deserving families into the CCAA’s “Hall of Fame.” The families inducted were the Rousey family (Robert Rousey, June Rousey, Connie Rousey Cundiff, and Barry Rousey (Barbara Rousey Jeffries was previously indicted in 2004) and the Norfleet family (Charles Norfleet and Barbara Pierce Norfleet). Both families have made significant contributions to Casey County and its students. A biography of each family and the members of the family are set out below:

  • Five Casey teens attend the 2019 Kentucky 4-H Teen Conference

    This year, Kentucky 4-H hosted the 95th Annual 4-H Teen Conference. This leadership opportunity offers 4-Hers in high school the chance to continue to grow and better prepare themselves for college or the workforce.

  • Educator receives Distinguished Service Award


    Jennifer Godbey, Casey County Family Resource Center Coordinator, has been honored as the 2019 Distinguished Service Award Winner by the Kentucky Association of School Administrators at its annual leadership conference in Louisville on July 18.

    The award has been presented annually since 1973 to a retired (or retiring) educator who served both KASA and public education with an outstanding level of service and commitment.

  • Miller graduates from Centre College

    Faith Miller of Liberty graduated from Centre College with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology during the 196th Commencement ceremony held on campus Sunday, May 19.

  • Beal graduates from Goshen College

    Andrew Beal, of Liberty, graduated from Goshen College this spring with a master’s degree in Environmental Education.
