     Stolen car recovered

    A car with the keys left in it that was stolen Oct. 9 from the Casey County Senior Citizen’s Center in Liberty has been recovered. Chief Steven Garrett said a resident on a four wheeler discovered the 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis Sunday about a mile down an old logging road near Caney Fork Cemetery. Deputy Chad G. Weddle and Officer Jayson Grider recovered the vehicle. Garrett said police are looking at a juvenile suspect.

     Theft

    Brian Ellis, 33, of 496 Terrell Lane, Hustonville, was cited on May 9 by Deputy Chad G. Weddle and charged with conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking farm equipment $100,000 or more and first-degree conspiracy to commit criminal mischief. Ellis, who admitted to asking his friend Jacob Young to cut a ditch on his property, told Young to use the road grader that belonged to the county. While operating the grader, there was $2,422.96 worth of damages, the citation states.

    ― Christopher Jason Luttrell, 30, 2056 Dry Fork Road, Windsor, was arrested on May 6 on Ky. 910 by Deputy Jamie Walters and charged with first offense DUI and operating an ATV on the roadway. Court records state that Luttrell admitted to drinking beer that day.
