    March 6

    Brandi Keith pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct second degree. She was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for time served.

    Erica P Lemons pleaded guilty to assault fourth degree domestic violence no visible injury and public intoxication of a controlled substance (excluding alcohol). She was given credit for time served and has a fine of $215.50 due in six months.

    Corey M McCawley pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana. He has a pretrial conference March 15.

    Joseph K Padgett, 26, of Liberty, was cited for misdemeanor criminal littering. According to his citation he threw garbage on private property Dec. 1, 2017, while he was aiding and abetting another person.

    March 9

    Brandon Poff, 27, of Liberty, was cited on two counts of theft by deception including cold checks under $500. According to his citations, he issued a check for $42.16 on March 24, 2017, and another for $60 on Dec. 17, 2017. Both were returned for insufficient funds and no payment was made in 10 days after receiving notic.

    Feb. 20

    Regina Erin Skipper pleaded not guilty to trafficking in marijuana, a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and drug paraphernalia. She had a court date Feb. 22, in which her case was bound over to the Casey County Grand Jury.

    Clyde Edmond Miller pleaded not guilty to receiving stolen property under $10,000. He had a preliminary hearing Feb. 22, in which the case was bound over to the grand jury.

    Feb. 28

    Amber D Duncan, 30, of Liberty, was charged with disorderly conduct in the second degree. According to her citation, Casey County Deputy Sheriff Chad Weddle responed to a report of a fight on Phillips Street at around 4 p.m. Feb. 25. When he arrived Duncan was arguing with another woman. She called the woman a vulgarity after Weddle told her to stop. Her next court date is March 13 at 9 a.m.

    Week of March 5, 2008

    A Casey County teenager who was in a vehicle struck by a county road department truck in December 2006 has filed suit, against the county and the driver of the truck.

    Kayla Usi, who was 17 and a student at Casey County High School when the wreck occurred on Dec. 20, 2006, filed the civil action Feb. 27 in Casey Circuit Court through her attorney Jonathan R. Spalding of Lebanon.

    Michael Jay Wethington pleaded not guilty to a charge of menacing. He has court March 6.

    Bonnie J Root pleaded not guilty to assault fourth degree, minor injury. She has court March 6.

    Bryan Estill McClain pleaded not guilty to public intoxication by controlled substance, and cultivating less than five marijuana plants. He has court March 1.

    Feb. 20

    Jamie Floyd Harris’ charge of carrying a concealed deadly weapon was dismissed and his gun was ordered to be returned to him.

    Feb. 12

    Justin Lee Adams pleaded guilty to bail jumping in the first degree, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, driving on a suspended license, DUI, possession of a controlled substance first degree, first offense (methamphetamine), and drug paraphernalia. He will be sentenced March 26 at 1 p.m.

    Sarah Nicely pleaded guilty to and amended charge of receiving stolen property worth less than $10,000. She will be sentenced March 12.
