    James L. Hines was sentenced to five years total and probated five years for possession of a controlled substance first-degree third offense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia buy/possess and tampering with physical evidence.

    Tami Sue Campbell pleaded guilty to trafficking in marijuana less than 8 oz. second offense and drug paraphernalia buy/possess. She will be sentenced on Aug. 13.

    A Casey County teen pleaded guilty to reckless homicide in connection with his cousin’s death the previous year.

    Five former Casey County High School students who filed a civil suit against 13 educators in the Casey County school system nearly two years ago were awaiting a settlement.

    Emma H. Bailey was sentenced to three years, probation denied for possession of a controlled substance first-degree first offense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia buy/possess and bail jumping first degree.
