While the regular season is still months away, the Casey County Lady Rebels are hard at work to improve on last years 12th Region Runner up season.

This past week the Lady Rebels played four scrimmages at home against teams like Lincoln County, Pulaski County and Mercer County, before traveling to Russell County on June 7 and 8 and Mercer County and South Laurel on June 11 and 12.

Coming up this week Casey County travels to Lindsey Wilson College on June 14 and 15 and Campbellsville University on June 18 and 19 to play several scrimmages.

The Lady Rebels return everyone from last year’s team except starter Myla McGowan, who averaged 5.3 points per game, who graduated.

Coming back for Casey County is a wealth of talent that includes Juniors Lauren Lee, Gena Beth Cravens, Jordyn Stephens, Shaylah Wilkey, Natalie Duggins, Haley Brock and several more contributors from a team that went 26-7 last season, including 14-4 in region play and a perfect 8-0 in district play, claiming their first disrtict tournamnet championship since 2013.
