Staat’s Bakery in Liberty is all about fresh and local offerings

Walk into the converted house on Beldon Avenue and at once, the senses are assailed by smells of fresh baked breads and pastries, all hand made on the premises.
“It’s important that people know that what we cook is all good things. There are no preservatives, no additives, no artificial food colorings. It’s butter, real vanilla, cream, made fresh here,” said Blaine Staat, who co-owns the business with his wife, Catherine.
Because it’s all made on the premises, Blaine said that customers can see exactly what they’re doing.
