March 7

Joseph K Padgett, 26, of Liberty, was cited for misdemeanor criminal littering. According to his citation he threw garbage on private property Dec. 1, 2017, while he was aiding and abetting another person.

March 9

Brandon Poff, 27, of Liberty, was cited on two counts of theft by deception including cold checks under $500. According to his citations, he issued a check for $42.16 on March 24, 2017, and another for $60 on Dec. 17, 2017. Both were returned for insufficient funds and no payment was made in 10 days after receiving notic.

March 12

Robert Alex Chandler, 24, of Liberty, was cited for assault fourth degree domestic violence with minor injury. According to his citation police responded to a domestic disturbance. A woman said Chandler hit and choked her. She had a bloody lip and red marks on her face. Chandler pleaded guilty March 13. He was ordered to serve five days in jail, credit for four, with the balance conditionally discharged if he had no further violations of the law in one year.

James M Bell, 47, of Liberty was cited for assault fourth degree no visible injury. According to his complaint he hit another man on the side of the face. Bell pleaded not guilty March 13 and has a pretrial conference April 17.
