A Casey County truck driver is facing several charges after Kentucky State Police believe he was driving under the influence during a crash in a work zone on Aug. 3.

Del Quinton Warner, 49, of Liberty, was arrested for DUI first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia buy/possess and wanton endangerment second degree.

According to Kentucky State Police and WKYT report, Warner was driving his tractor-trailer on Kentucky 90 in Cumberland County when his vehicle struck a barrier wall, sideswiped a crane, hit a pickup, crashed into a guardrail and slammed into an SUV head-on.

The collision into the SUV caused a chain reaction, which led to another pickup getting hit. One construction worker had to leap over a guardrail to avoid getting hit and that person suffered a hand injury.

Warner was transported to the hospital and then taken to Adair County Regional Jail.

Commercial vehicle drivers with a blood alcohol level of .04 percent are considered under the influence versus that of the normal .08 percent blood alcohol level.

State Police are awaiting results of a blood test to determine his blood alcohol concentration.
