29 candidates now have paperwork in for offices

The candidate count is now up to 29 for City of Liberty and Casey County offices, with six additional candidates submitting paperwork to run in the 2018 elections.

Scott Floyd, of Liberty, filed Dec. 19 to run for sheriff. He will compete with Chad G. Weddle, of Dunnville, and Kenny Patten, of Liberty, in the Republican primary May 22.

Incumbent Fiscal Court Magistrate Robby Murphy now has a challenger, Jerry Brown, in District 3. Brown filed Nov. 30.
