The Casey County Sheriff’s Office Tax Settlement 2017 audit came back clean, but with the same material weakness for segregation of duties as the 2016 audit.
In a Nov. 27 release, Kentucky Auditor of Public Accounts Mike Harmon said that the sheriff “fairly presents the taxes charges, credited and paid for the period April 18, 2017 through April 16, 2018 in conformity with the regulatory basis of accounting.”
