Woman, baby injured when car overturns

A Casey County woman and her baby were taken to Casey County Hospital Thursday morning after she flipped her car on Ky. 70 East. According to Sheriff Jerry Coffman, Mandi J. Warren, 20, of 13087 Ky. 70 East, Yosemite, was traveling on Ky. 70 East in a 1998 Ford Taurus around 8:45 a.m. when she met another vehicle. Coffman said Warren reported that vehicle was passing another one and was in her lane. She went off the roadway to avoid hitting it, struck an embankment and overturned. Warren and her 3-month-old daughter, Catlyn, were removed from the vehicle and taken to Casey Hospital by Casey EMS. Here, Coffman gathers some information from Chris Baldwin, who was one of the first people on the scene following the accident.
