"Taxing districts will also get money from tangibles, motor vehicles, watercraft, and franchise taxes, such as electric companies or utilities," Brown said.

A Liberty man was arrested Wednesday after police investigated an animal abuse complaint at Liberty Pet Food store in Liberty Square Shopping Center.
Liberty Police officers Richard Francioni and Jayson Grider, along with Animal Control Officer Ricky Luttrell, responded to the complaint at the business that afternoon. Once on the scene, they found seven large-breed dogs, seven cats, three spiders, two snakes, a mouse, an iguana and a scorpion in the building, said Michael Luttrell, who assisted the animal control officer.
