Allen case sent back to district court

The Casey County grand jury did not indict a woman Friday who was involved in an accident in January that did considerable damage to a business and seriously injured a teenager.
The case against Barbara Jean Allen, 60, of 1394 Red Hill Road, was returned to Casey District Court, but only for the charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants.
The grand jury also considered four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and one count of first-degree mischief, but there were insufficient votes to return indictments, according to court records.
