Shady Hill Drive residents not pleased at all

By Donna Carman
Editor

Carlos Wesley has traveled KY 1649 (Dry Ridge) four or five times a day for the nearly 35 years he has owned Radio Station WKDO. The station sits at the top of Dry Ridge Hill, and Wesley said he's developed a hefty respect for that road.
"I've seen several accidents there over the years, including three or four that didn't make it through," Wesley said, referring to fatalities.
The steep hill, which has a 16 percent grade at its worst point, has limited days for travel now. The road has drawn the attention of the state Transportation Cabinet and is slated for major improvements beginning next year.
