"I've been sitting in this chair for 20 years," Wilson said, referring to a chair in his office at J.J.'s Car Wash on Hustonville Street, where he's the manager.

Primary seat belt law takes effect

The start of 2007 marks the beginning of a new law in Kentucky.
The primary seat belt law passed by the Kentucky General Assembly in April took effect on Monday, giving law enforcement the right to ticket anyone in a moving vehicle not wearing a seat belt.
The previously existing seat belt law was changed to make it a primary offense, meaning that motorists can be pulled over and ticketed by law enforcement officials if they are not buckled up.
"People need to understand that if they're doing everything else right, they now can be stopped for not wearing a seat belt," Casey County Attorney Tom Weddle said.
