Miss Casey County
Casey County girls between the ages of 16-21 are invited to participate in the 2008 Miss Casey County Pageant, which will be held Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Casey County High School gymnasium.
The winner will preside over the week-long events of the Casey County Apple Festival and also compete in the Miss Kentucky County Fair Pageant in January.
Applications are available at Liberty Flowers and Gifts, or online at .
All applications must be turned in by Friday, Sept. 5, at the 7 p.m. mandatory meeting at the Casey County Apple Festival office on Beldon Avenue.

Chamber Lunch
The Liberty/Casey County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its monthly luncheon from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, at the Gateway Park Community Center. AirEvac Lifeteam will be sponsoring the event, and the guest speaker will be Jay McChord, founder and CEO of WorkplaceBuzz, who is also a council member for the city of Lexington.
