MARIE VANCE


Marie Vance of Liberty, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the Liberty Care Center. She was 95.
Born on Dec. 26, 1912, she was the daughter of the late James “Jim” and Virgie Jude McCoy.
She was a homemaker, a member of Enon United Baptist Church and the widow of George Vance.
Survivors include two sons, Jim (and Mary) Vance of South Williamson and Carl (and Rita) Vance of South Point, Ohio; a daughter, Christine Keesee of Liberty; two sisters, Linda Powell of Surprise, Ariz., and Dahlia Campbell of Lucasville, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Hurley; two sisters, Spicie Roberts and Rosa Wolford; and three brothers, Jack McCoy, John E. McCoy and Cordie McCoy.
Funeral services were June 15 at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry by the Rev. Tulley McCoy. Burial was in the McCoy Cemetery of Burnwell.
Pallbearers were her grandchildren.
