Kentucky Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell made a campaign stop on Monday at the Central Kentucky AG/EXPO Center after a long day on the campaign trail that began that morning in eastern Kentucky. Campaigning with McConnell was Nashville recording star Lee Greenwood, who sang his hit single “God Bless the U.S.A.”
McConnell barnstorms into Liberty for last campaign stop

At 72, Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell carries himself with the energy and vigor of a candidate half his age.
Having begun Monday morning in eastern Kentucky, McConnell set out on a bus tour with stops in Hazard, Hyden, Manchester, London, Somerset, and Russell Springs before arriving in Liberty at the Central Kentucky AG/EXPO Center.
And part of his campaign entourage included Republican Rep. Ed Whitfield, who’s also running for re-election.
