It has to have gotten everyone’s attention. The pink ribbons and merchandise — from hats to yogurt to soft drink — are available everywhere and people feel good about supporting a noble cause like breast cancer research.
Those pink items remind people that the Susan G. Komen for the Cure charity is raising money to help researchers find a cure for breast cancer, a potentially deadly disease that strikes millions of women each year.
