Library suffers water damage

Casey County Public Library Director Jan Banks shook her head in amazement after discovering that a heavy downpour in Liberty early Thursday morning caused water to overflow into the inside of the ceiling in the Casey County Public Library, prompting library officials to close the building until damage assessments and clean up can be completed.
“First, our bookmobile driver Jim Tucker broke his leg earlier this year and then the air conditioning went out three weeks ago and still isn’t fixed, and now this,” she said.
