Editorial: Kudos to LPD for safety efforts

It was recently brought to the attention of the Liberty Police Department that Wallace Wilkinson Boulevard through Liberty had turned into somewhat of an autobahn, similar to the roadways in Europe where drivers choose their speed.
Once the problem came to light, Chief Steven Garrett and his officers acted decisively, issuing 47 speeding citations the first three weeks of this month.
And that’s a good thing, done for the public’s safety and, because it’s the law.
