Childhood obesity exists, but hunger looms

Children’s health experts and other school officials are decrying the increasing number of school-aged children nationwide who are overweight. But few of these officials raise the cry over the number of children who don’t have enough to eat.
In the Casey County School District, nearly 71 percent of the student population participate in the free and reduced meals program, said Food Service Director Teresa Terry.
