Beard and Emerson crowned homecoming queen and king

Friday’s football victory over McCreary Central was also the finale for Casey County High School’s homecoming week.
Attendants from each class were recognized, including five senior couples selected by the senior class.
The seniors were then voted on by the entire student body to determine the 2013 Homecoming King and Queen.
Sarah Beard and Trae Emerson were named the 2013 King and Queen during halftime of Friday’s football game. Kassidy Sims and Rance Carman were named runner up.
Beard is the daughter of Mark and Sherrie Beard and is a member of the basketball and volleyball teams. She is also on student council and plans to attend college to become an occupational therapist.
Emerson  is the son of Roy and Sharon Emerson. He plans to become a race car driver.
Sims is the daughter of Vicki Sims and James Sims. She is president of the student council and is active in Y-Club. She plans to attend college to obtain a nursing degree.
Carman is the son of Troy and Renita Carman and is a member of the football team. He plans to become a manual metal arc welder.
The other senior candidates on the homecoming court were Wyatt Bishop , Allison Clark, Baylen Hill, Mariah Richardson, Kayla Jo Wilson and Tyler Zaborowsky.
